Add several more causes of explosion on top of those on the 2nd floor: (1) In the catholyte system, a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen reaches its explosive limit, leading to an explosion when exposed to an open flame or static electricity; (2) There were metal foreign objects in the catholyte outlet hose; friction with the hose generated static electricity, leading to a gas explosion.
Due to corrosion of the pipes in the catholyte system, some metal ions enter the cathode chamber and deposit on the cathode surface in sharp forms. Over time, these deposits can puncture the membrane, causing a short circuit with the anode and leading to electrode breakdown; in severe cases, this can result in an explosion.
Dehydration of the electrolyzer occurs due to pipe rupture or other reasons; two-stage breakdown can cause the electrolyzer to catch fire, and in severe cases, this can lead to an explosion of the electrolyzer.
