Most Texaco and Shell gasifiers that use wet slag removal methods require slag skimmers; originally, only Qingdao Zhengda Zheng and Qingdao Sizhou provided such skimmers for water-coal slurry gasifiers. It is said that the slag skimmers used in Hubei Shuanghuan Shell gasifiers are produced by Baoding Electric Power Equipment Factory. Question: 1) How is the performance of the slag skimmer produced by Baoding Power Equipment Factory? 2) Which manufacturer’s slag skimmer is used in conjunction with Shell gasifiers from other manufacturers, and what is the performance of it? 3) Are there any differences in the selection of slag skimmers between water-coal slurry gasification and dry coal powder gasification?
The slag skimmer used in water-coal slurry gasification can actually be removed (Shell is not aware of this); Shanxi Fengxi continued to operate without it without any problems. Since the slag skimmer has not been used before, the difference is unknown. Looking forward to informed individuals answering the original poster’s question.
