I have just completed the pressure swing adsorption process, and my current task is to develop software for solving the mathematical model of pressure swing adsorption air separation. I now understand the mathematical models involved to some extent, but I’m at a loss as to what methods can be used to solve them and how exactly to do so, let alone write software for it. If I fail to complete this task, I won’t be able to go home for the New Year. Please, someone help me! I’m terrible at math; I don’t know what software can be used to solve these problems or how to do them. I really want to finish the task and go home soon :( Last edited by zhyuan*u on 2008-1-16 10:01 ]
List the mathematical model (mathematical equations), all boundary conditions, known quantities, and unknown variables; determine the solution method (one that must converge), and only then can programming be carried out. You can find a computer numerical simulation expert to work with you. There is no such specialized software. That is the result of each company’s own research efforts; they certainly won’t give it to you for free This post was last edited by maogenfu on 2008-1-16 14:11]
I don’t quite understand what the OP means; didn’t you create this software precisely for solving problems? Why use software to find solutions anyway? You probably want to know how to solve it specifically, rather than looking for relevant software, right?
LZ is in a similar situation to me! I also need to carry out some simulation calculations for adsorption separation processes; I have the equations, boundary conditions, and initial conditions, but my math skills are too poor to solve them. . . Go up there and ask for help too!
