From Kingsoft: projection – a thing or part that extends outward beyond a prevailing line or surface: a protrusion; something or part that extends outside a main line or main plane. In other words, it refers to the amount (or extent) of inward/outward extension (protrusion)
It’s a notation on the equipment details diagram; it’s written as follows: sleeve18” I.D. x °” THK., 2” internal & external projections. Does that mean the tube needs to extend both inside and outside? :) :) I hope someone can also help me understand what these symbols mean. This post was last edited by alex_zxorc on 2008-1-16 10:50]
That’s what it means. The specific description is as follows: sleeve with an inner diameter of 18\" (457) and a wall thickness of _\", with protrusions of 2\" (51) on the inside and outside; the values in parentheses should be in mm.
