PDMS modeling – just for piping?

When people talk about PDMS, they are all referring to piping. Is it because the equipment and structure are too simple? It can’t be compared to piping; or should we only focus on piping? Do it with other majors
PDMS is software used in the process engineering field, or for process systems; the equipment engineering field uses software such as SW6, while the structural engineering field uses software like PKM.
When installing pipes, one always has to consider the equipment and frames, right? Although it doesn’t need to be that precise, the general shape of the device should be determined, right? The data on the pipe openings also need to be provided Does the structure need to take into account collisions and things like that?
The software package contains different modules, but here people mostly use it for piping work.
Of course, PDMS can cover everything we need for our design. Structure, equipment, piping, HVAC, supports and hangers, cable trays, etc ； However, piping is his strongest and most successful area; before working on piping, it’s necessary to model other elements first, otherwise how can collision checks be carried out?
