I came across some drawings today, and there are two types of diagrams showing the positions of the pipe openings: \"true orientation plan\" and \"orientation plan\". This is related to the actual design process. The orientation plan is usually provided directly on the equipment drawings; preliminary indications of the positions of the pipe connections are given by specialties such as process engineering and instrumentation when they submit the requirements for the equipment, and these are then refined by the equipment design team. Such orientation diagrams serve only as a guide and do not reflect the actual situation. After receiving the equipment drawings, the piping team can adjust the positions of the pipe ends based on the actual layout of the equipment and the specifics of the piping, while ensuring compliance with the basic process requirements; ultimately, a true orientation plan showing the actual positions of the pipe ends is provided. When receiving the equipment drawings, the equipment manufacturer can first cut the materials according to those drawings and fabricate components such as the cylinder and end caps; however, before making any openings in the equipment, it is necessary to obtain the actual pipe opening layout provided by the piping specialist.
