It is still essential to promptly purge and vent the auxiliary pipelines of devices that are used infrequently. 3. For equipment with strict requirements regarding reaction temperature, insulation should be added on the outside. 4. Also, the equipment needs lubrication – the lubricant should be changed. Winter is a peak period for equipment accidents.
First, it is necessary to ensure normal supply of the heating steam for the pipelines. Secondly, pipelines such as gas pipes need to have water pumped through them regularly ; Third, strengthen the management of employees’ operational procedures; in winter, it’s not the equipment that has a high failure rate, but rather human error in operation (especially during night shifts when temperatures are low) ; Fourth, the frequency of inspections of the equipment should be increased, and any abnormalities detected must be addressed promptly.
For pipes heated by steam, it is necessary to ensure a proper supply of steam and to conduct regular inspections of the various steam traps; any blockages found should be cleared promptly; Ensure the heat tracing temperature ; For pipes equipped with electric heating, regular inspections should be carried out to ensure that the temperature remains within the designed range; any low temperatures detected must be corrected promptly ; For the standby pump, the inlet and outlet must be completely closed, and the vent valve on the pump outlet should be fully opened to prevent liquid buildup ; The insulation removed during maintenance should be restored promptly ;
The coking by-products processing unit mainly consists of several sections such as the oil unloading pump room, oil storage tanks, distillation, crystallization (industrial naphthalene, crude anthracene), and asphalt production. Regularly check the condition of the steam traps on the properly arranged heat tracing pipelines, with a focus on the return water systems. As long as each section takes care of the return water systems within its scope of responsibilities, there should be no major issues. Also, for all devices that use water, the remaining water should be drained when they are not in use, to prevent the pipes from freezing.
