A coating thickness gauge, also known as a coating thickness meter, operates on the following principles and is used for the following purposes: 1. Principle: Magnetic thickness measurement principle – When the probe comes into contact with the coating, the probe and the magnetic metal substrate form a closed magnetic circuit. The presence of the non-magnetic coating causes a change in the magnetic resistance of this circuit, and by measuring this change, it is possible to determine the thickness of the coating. Principle of eddy current thickness measurement: A high-frequency alternating current is used to generate an electromagnetic field in the coil. When the probe comes into contact with the coating layer, eddy currents are induced in the metal substrate, which in turn exert a feedback effect on the coil in the probe. By measuring the magnitude of this feedback effect, it is possible to determine the thickness of the coating layer. II. Applicable industries 1. Electroplating and spraying: This is the industry that makes the most use of our instruments, accounting for a significant proportion of annual sales; it constitutes our main customer base, and considerable effort is needed to continue to develop business in this area. 2. Pipeline anti-corrosion: This application is mainly used by users in the petrochemical industry; generally, the anti-corrosion layer is quite thick, and many users opt for TT260 combined with F10 probes. 3. Aluminum profiles: Since the beginning of this year, due to the implementation of mandatory standards and the requirement for profile manufacturers to obtain new licenses, this industry has seen unprecedented growth. The key parameter is the thickness of the oxide layer on these profiles; it is estimated that for every micron less in the coating thickness, manufacturers can save 150 yuan per ton of profiles, which is a significant amount. Therefore, it is mandatory to equip such manufacturers with relevant testing equipment, including coating thickness gauges. This move also brings us very good opportunities. This opportunity has also caught the attention of competitors, who have lowered their prices as much as possible and are using various tactics such as widespread distribution to quickly make inroads into this industry. In response, President Tang and President Shi have repeatedly instructed that close attention be paid to the actions of competitors so that appropriate strategies can be adopted, with the goal of giving concessions without losing market share. I hope that our colleagues in the branch offices will also make good use of this opportunity, leverage their regional advantages to get our products into this industry on a larger scale, and lay a foundation for future sales in this sector. Additionally, we can also increase the impact of our products across the entire market. 4. Steel structures: For enterprises dealing in products of this type, it is also possible to classify them as a separate industry. Coating thickness gauges are indeed widely used in this industry, and there has been a lot of recent purchasing activity from manufacturers such as those that produce iron towers. 5. Industries such as printed circuit boards and screen printing are considered special sectors; currently, purchases in these areas come from only a few manufacturers. In August, two printing companies made purchases from us. It can be seen that there is still demand, so we need to keep working hard, explore information resources, and identify more new sales opportunities.
