It depends on the particle size and concentration of the activated carbon; if the explosive limit is reached and there is an open flame, a dust explosion may occur. In such cases, measures should be taken during installation to prevent the spread of activated carbon or to avoid open flames.

It is possible to consider removing the part that is to be welded, welding it, and then putting it back in place. Generally, it is not allowed to perform welding work on the reactor when there is a catalyst present!
It is necessary to check the oxygen level inside the reactor; this level should be kept below 5%
It is strongly required that the manufacturer remove the equipment after emptying the reactor, or implement on-site isolation and protection measures. Under normal circumstances, no changes to the process or equipment are permitted after the reactor has been filled.
Activated carbon can be so scary; I never thought of that before. We only have activated carbon filters, so we should also consider this aspect.
