Over the past few years, we have been involved in many large-scale engineering projects both domestically and internationally, mainly responsible for the design and manufacture of filters for facilities in petrochemical, refining, and natural gas projects. But to this day, we still don’t have a single sample that we can show to clients. Currently, we are working on preparing the materials in this regard. But I have many doubts: our clients are mainly large engineering companies or project owners. How exactly should we design and select the content of the samples to demonstrate our design and manufacturing capabilities? I ask all the experts to help me; once again, I am deeply grateful! Our company possesses advanced testing methods and a robust quality assurance system. It has obtained ISO9001(2000) international quality management system certification, as well as design and manufacturing licenses for pressure vessels of categories 1 and 2. We are able to design and modify equipment and systems according to the requirements of our clients. In May 2007, the company obtained the ASME Pressure Vessel Code Product Design and Manufacturing License issued by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, along with the “U” stamp. In July of the same year, it received the NB authorization certificate and NB stamp issued by the American Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Association. The acquisition of ASME and NB certifications has laid the foundation for our products to enter international high-end markets such as those in Europe and the United States, providing a pass for our company’s products to reach the global market. The petrochemical projects in which we are mainly involved include polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, synthetic rubber, purified terephthalic acid, butadiene, ethylene glycol/propane glycol, styrene, phenol/propanol, and ABS ; The main unit filters involved in oil refining projects include atmospheric and vacuum distillation units, catalytic cracking units, hydrocracking units for gasoline and diesel, catalytic diesel hydrocracking units, lubricant hydrocracking units, paraffin hydrocracking units, hydrocracking units, hydrogen production units, catalytic reforming units, delayed coking units, desulfurization units, and sulfur recovery units ; The main natural gas-related projects include triethylene glycol dehydration, coal-to-hydrogen, natural gas to methanol, natural gas to hydrogen, and natural gas to carbon monoxide. That’s what I think; since there are many performance metrics, it’s sufficient to display only the product name and its identifier. However, there is a contradiction: although the process is the same, some tag numbers are different. For example, in domestic polypropylene plants, the F-104A/B/C filters are considered DONOR filters. However, in the polypropylene plant in Thailand (managed by Zhongding Engineering Company), the corresponding filters are labeled as F3120A/B/C DONOR FILTERS. Our technical team says that different processes are used; there are filters for ring-type PP production processes and those for gas-phase PP production processes, but I still don’t fully understand this. Could someone tell me? Furthermore, as we take part in more and more overseas projects, the samples need to be shown to foreigners. There is a discrepancy between the device numbering used abroad and that used domestically, and there are also issues regarding the standardization of product name translations. The original poster seems to have a vague understanding of the concept of part numbers; part numbers and model numbers are two completely different concepts. As a equipment supplier, all you need to pay attention to for the translation of product names is the translation of the equipment itself; the translation of product names can be found in the technical specifications you receive.

I majored in international trade, and after graduating from university I started working at a company involved in foreign trade, mainly in contacting foreign companies, engineering firms, or their offices in China to establish relationships and cooperate with them. Regarding device identifiers, my understanding is that they are determined in the original process design, mainly by the design institute; for different design processes, device identifiers for devices with the same name are generally different ; As for the model, since most of the equipment we produce is custom-made, the numbers assigned to it vary, and these numbers generally serve as the model numbers. Therefore, there isn’t much connection between the two. Regarding the samples, my main goal is to allow customers to see what we are capable of doing and what we have done in the past, thereby demonstrating our design and manufacturing capabilities and strengthening their trust in us. The part number and model you mentioned? Perhaps your products have their own standards, while ours are mainly custom-made. For example, if 1 unit of a certain model is produced this year, it’s possible that no equipment with the same specifications and technical requirements will be manufactured again for many years to come; this might be the difference between us and you.
