Are there any good solutions for the uneven settlement of coke oven foundations? The foundations of coke ovens may not have been treated properly during preparation, which leads to uneven settlement during the construction of the coke ovens. I don’t know what model of coke oven you have. If it’s a Type 58 coke oven, it’s easier to handle. At the sliding layer in the basement, lift up the areas with significant settlement using jacks and insert iron plugs. Of course, it should be measured using professional instruments.
It is said that jet grouting piles can address uneven settlement of coke oven foundations; I’m not sure if this is true. Those who know the answer please share their opinions.
If severe settlement occurs during the construction process, the foundation has to be redone and the ground reinforced once again. Whether to use piles or replacement filling depends on the specific circumstances.
This is a serious problem – if such an issue arises during construction, it’s necessary to demolish the structure and start over. Otherwise, even if the construction team tries to handle it, neither the supervisor nor the client will be satisfied.
