The hot oil system in our company makes a rattling noise as soon as it is started up, and this noise can last for a week. Logically, even if there is moisture present, it should have turned into steam and been released after driving for some time, so there shouldn’t be any noise anymore. What other reasons could cause noise? Could this be the case if the amount of heat transfer oil is insufficient?
Is there water vapor in the dead zone space inside the baffle?
Let me say a few words: it’s possible that the purge steam valve of the distillation system isn’t sealed properly, allowing steam to leak into the system and causing water hammer, which in turn generates the noise. This is just a personal opinion.
If there is an open degassing tank, then it’s not due to water vapor; rather, it’s caused by thermal expansion. Please check whether the pipe supports and the design for accommodating thermal expansion are proper!
Will there be hot oil vapor? I’ve never dealt with this before; just talking casually. The presence of a gas phase is certain; it’s just what kind of gas it is. As long as there is air present, noise is generated whenever the flow rate increases! !
There must be water or light components present in the system; the sound is produced by vaporization that occurs at high temperatures.
It’s not ringing throughout the entire system, is it? It must be some part or some section that’s unstable and making noise. If you don’t know where it’s making a sound, how can you fix the problem?
The loudest area is the expansion tank, so I think it’s still a water vapor issue. But I can’t understand why it lasts for such a long time.
Is it like this every time you drive? The first time our machine was started, it made noise for a long time as well, but we haven’t noticed that issue since then
