Sure, we wash our methanol tower with water every time the catalyst is replaced. However, it only rinses the inner wall of the outer cylinder of the tower. It is usually when the internal components are lifted out to remove the catalyst. Sometimes, a fire truck is used to simply flush the demineralized water against the tower wall from the top, and sometimes steam hoses are used to introduce steam for blowing. Finally, blow dry the moisture with air. I don’t know what the methanol production capacity of the poster is; different synthesis towers require different cleaning procedures and catalyst installation methods. We use small towers. Lianchun has only 80,000 in terms of capability.
