Compared to oil and natural gas, China has relatively abundant coal resources, with coal accounting for as much as 70% of the country’s primary energy consumption. However, for a long time, due to the lack of core technologies in the field of coal chemical industry in our country, domestic enterprises have had to pay huge patent fees in order to develop. Especially at present, our country is a major player in the coal chemical industry, but there are very few technologies with independent intellectual property rights within this sector. The gasification technology of the Northwest Institute is also troubled by patent issues. So, in the field of coal chemical industry, why does this situation occur? What are the technologies that truly possess independent intellectual property rights? What should we do? Please share your thoughts.
Do you know why hands cause trouble? It’s because he has problems; otherwise, why wouldn’t others be troubled? Take a look at his PFD; can you tell the difference from Texaco’s? ^_^, it can’t be done; so he’s troubled about how to wrap things up in the end.:funk: This post was last edited by happydavy on 2008-1-18 22:01
There are very few basic research projects these days; for their own interests, the research institutions and the design agencies do not work together, which forces the design agencies to introduce the same technologies repeatedly, resulting in waste
Actually, it’s because basic research has not kept up; there seems to be an issue with the policy guidance direction
Domestic technologies mainly include: Gasification: Opposed-four-nozzle water-coal slurry gasification. Sources: East China University of Science and Technology and Yankuang; industrial-scale plants are available. Multi-component slurry technology: Developed by the Northwest Research Institute, on a scale of 100,000 tons. Ash fusion gasification technology: Plant to be built in Tianjin? Multiple sets; the HT-L coal gasification technology is applied in small-scale nitrogen fertilizer production. Beijing Aerospace Wanyuan Coal Chemicals’ demonstration plant utilizes a non-slag – slag separation gasification technology. Beijing Dalike, Tsinghua University, and Shanxi Fengxi Fertilizer Group have put a production facility capable of producing 100,000 tons of methanol into operation. Purification is achieved through low-temperature methanol washing, a technique developed by East China University of Science and Technology; Hangzhou Linde also uses this low-temperature methanol washing method
Additional information: 1.0 MPa pressurized ash pyrolysis gasification industrial demonstration unit. 1. Technical source – Qinneng Tianji, Shanxi Fengxi. 2. Collaboration between the Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Jincheng Coal Industry
There is no way forward without conducting fundamental research; just look at those distorted results of the so-called integration of industry, academia, and research! Many so-called innovations are the result of arbitrary decisions; plans that were originally unviable are deemed feasible by leaders, who then engage in what they call \"research,\" use their connections and flatter others, and once the funding is secured. The taxpayers’ money is spent, and the results of research efforts are nothing but those \"plagiarized\" and absurd outcomes!
Support the claim about the 7th floor! It’s actually all the fault of the money. However, whether it is copying or “innovation,” it still contributes to technological progress and is beneficial for localization.
MTO technology: In September 2006, a press conference jointly held by the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province and the Chinese Academy of Sciences at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing announced to the public that the trials of the world’s first industrial-scale facility for producing low-carbon olefins from methanol on a ten-thousand-ton scale (DMTO) had been successful, thanks to nearly two years of construction and operation. Upon evaluation by the **-level scientific and technological achievement appraisal, it was determined that this independently developed industrialization technology is at the international leading level. This achievement was developed through a tripartite collaboration, with Shaanxi Xinxing Coal Chemical Technology Development Co., Ltd. serving as the main entity responsible for innovation, by leveraging the independently developed pilot-scale technology from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as the engineering technology development and design capabilities of Sinopec Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering Company. The project was constructed by Shaanxi Huajian Company. Ethylene and propylene are currently the most important and widely used basic chemical products in the world, and their production has long relied on large amounts of oil. The methanol-based technology for producing low-carbon olefins uses coal or natural gas as raw materials instead of oil to produce ethylene and propylene. The Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, began research on this technology in the 1980s and has since completed pilot tests for two generations of this technology. The expert group believes that this industrial test facility represents an innovative technology with independent intellectual property rights; it operates in a stable, safe, and reliable manner, and its technical specifications are advanced. It is the only industrial facility of 10,000-ton capacity for methanol-to-olefins production in the world at present. The successful development of this technology has opened up an important pathway for the development of the olefin industry in our country, and it is of great significance for reducing oil imports and ensuring **energy security. Yuan Zhizhong, chairman of the emerging coal chemical company, said at the meeting that based on the achievements already obtained and the data available, the economic viability of the DMTO process is better than that of using naphtha cracking to produce olefins. When the international price of crude oil drops to $35 per barrel, large-scale industrial DMTO projects can still be economically viable if coal prices are kept below 400 yuan per ton. This press conference attracted significant attention from within and outside the industry. Gu Xiulian and Lu Yongxiang, vice chairpersons of the Ren Da** Conference; Zhang Rongming, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference; Yuan Chunching, acting governor of Shaanxi Province; Tan Zhuzhou, honorary president of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, among other leaders, as well as representatives from companies such as Shenhua Group, China National Coal Group, Sinochem Group, Yankuang Group, Shandong Luneng Group, and Shandong Binhua Group, as well as various financial institutions, attended the press conference.
Methanol synthesis: In January 2008, Sun Guozhi, the chairman of the board of directors of Ze Kai Industrial Group, and Lou Shoulin, the chairman of Hangzhou Linda Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., signed their names on a document titled \"Cooperation Agreement on Advanced Methanol Synthesis Technology\". The two parties agreed that Zekai Group’s coal chemical project located in the industrial park of Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, would utilize large horizontal water-cooled methanol synthesis reactors with independent intellectual property rights owned by Lindah Chemical, Lindah’s uniform-temperature, energy-efficient methanol synthesis technology, as well as a software package for methanol synthesis using 1 million tons per year of coal-derived feed gas. It is reported that the Zekai Chifeng coal chemical project has a total investment of around 8 billion yuan, and it will enable an annual production capacity of 1.8 million tons of methanol and various related products. Of this, Phase 1 involves an investment of 2.8 billion yuan to build a methanol production facility with an annual capacity of 1 million tons; construction of Phase 1 has already begun. After thorough comparison and technical evaluation, the expert team from Ze Kai Group concluded that LinDa Company’s existing technical achievements and equipment manufacturing capabilities are more than sufficient to replace foreign suppliers, making it an ideal technical partner for Ze Kai’s Chifeng project. Ze Kai is willing to be the first in China’s coal chemical industry to adopt super-large-scale methanol synthesis equipment and technology with entirely domestic independent intellectual property rights, thus taking the risk as a pioneer. The reporter learned that the Chifeng project, which uses lignite modification to produce water-coal slurry for manufacturing chemical products, represents a completely new challenge as well. Ze Kai has collaborated with various research institutions such as the **Water-Coal Slurry Engineering Technology Research Center**, drawing on and combining advanced technologies from industries such as coal processing and coking to develop a new process based on \"quality improvement and modification, as well as coal blending for slurry production\"
If four-nozzle water-coal slurry gasification can be considered domestically developed, then it can be regarded as fairly successful as well
Despite the helplessness and disappointment, there are still many encouraging news items
We specifically went to Tianjin Alkali Plant and Fengxi to investigate the application of gray pyrolysis. Tianjin Alkali Plant uses it poorly, while Fengxi still operates under atmospheric pressure and does not have the conditions for large-scale production; work on pressurized operation is underway, so it’s premature to give an evaluation. Those who are interested can discuss this further
I think there are two extremes in the approach to \"intellectual property\" in our country! On one hand, it’s underestimating oneself; on the other hand, it’s being shameless! Neither of the two is acceptable!
China’s industry started late, and there are several technologies that were not copied from foreigners. Coal chemical industry also exists within this broader context. Moreover, since the coal chemical industry does not have the substantial financial resources of industries such as the petrochemical sector, it is advisable to learn from and adopt advanced foreign technologies, with an emphasis on cost savings. :Lol, the patent issues can be dealt with slowly; what matters is that the technology works well.
If borrowing technology from people from decades ago is still considered “plagiarism”? In this world, there are basically very few things that aren’t copied! Some people underestimate themselves to an extreme!
It can be understood in this way, and then one can let go of concerns: The great men have taught us that science knows no borders, and knowledge is a common treasure of humanity. We must always keep the words of the great men in mind; by standing on the shoulders of giants, we can rise above them! History of human development and progress shows that part of its driving force stems from the desire for private ownership of wealth. If intellectual property rights are recognized, it leads to moral paradoxes, and persistent distress plagues many professionals as a result
Shenhua’s coal-to-oil project has recently been in operation for a short period of time, producing about 10 tons of oil (as I heard), after which it stopped again; the system does not seem to be operating well
