Materials that can withstand dilute sulfuric acid and alkalis include the PP, PE, and PVC mentioned above; however, these materials tend to age easily, and replacing them becomes inconvenient over time. PTFE can be used in such cases – although its price is relatively high, it has excellent resistance to acids and alkalis and is durable. If it is easy to replace and the usage amount is low, it is also acceptable to use the three materials mentioned above; just replace it once a year.
Acid- and alkali-resistant fiberglass can also be used when the temperature does not exceed 60 degrees.
