How can a portion of a drawing be extracted in CAD without using the deletion method?
I have a crude method: open the CAD drawing and first copy a backup. Enclose the section you want to extract with a straight line, then use the trim command to remove the parts outside that line; what’s inside the line is what you need. You can then use the move or copy commands to isolate the desired portion. This is one I have used; it’s for reference only.
Just select the part you need and copy it – that’s it
I’ll use the method from the second floor; it’s simple, but it works well for quick use
I didn’t understand what the original poster meant on the 3rd floor. What the poster wanted was to take a portion of the entire image, where many lines are connected together; when copying directly, either too much or too little of the content is selected. I don’t have any good solution either – I had to use a crude method, and I guess there really isn’t any better way
I used the same method as the one on floor 2: lol :lol
I usually select only some of them and use the cut function for the rest that I don’t need. I’ve heard that using the paper space method eliminates the need to do this, which is quite convenient. I’m currently researching this and will share my findings with everyone later. I’d also be very welcome to any valuable suggestions from those who use this method.
