A biodiesel production line was put into operation in Laixi this month to turn "gutter oil" into biodiesel. On August 8, reporters learned from the "Marine Industry Technology Innovation Symposium" organized by the Shandong Ocean Engineering Research Institute that a biodiesel production line with an annual output of 100,000 tons will be put into operation at Qingdao Foruis Bioenergy Development Co., Ltd. this month, and the quality of the biodiesel produced can reach the standard of No. 0 petroleum diesel. In the near future, island city citizens are expected to be able to ride on vehicles, boats and other means of transportation that use this new, clean and renewable energy. It is understood that the biodiesel industrialization project with an annual output of 100,000 tons is * * A key project to encourage development, it is also the first project in our city to use waste oil to engage in new energy development. The project has an investment of 50 million yuan and will fill a gap in scientific and technological bioenergy in Qingdao after it is put into production in Laixi City. It is estimated that after the project is completed, the annual sales revenue will reach 640 million yuan, with profits and taxes of more than 50 million yuan. It is understood that the current wholesale price of ordinary diesel is 5,700 yuan/ton, while the price of biodiesel is 5,000 yuan/ton. According to Dr. Yang Qingli of the Shandong Peanut Research Institute, the main raw materials for biodiesel production are gutter oil, waste animal fats and vegetable oil scraps. Waste oil is often re-extracted and refined by unscrupulous vendors, and then enters the catering market again, endangering people's health. Using waste edible oil to produce biodiesel can prevent waste oil from returning to the dining table. At the same time, biodiesel is a typical "green energy". It contains low sulfur and emit about 70% less harmful gases such as sulfur dioxide and sulfides than petroleum diesel. ; Raw materials come from a wide range of sources and are highly renewable. Through the efforts of agricultural and biological scientists, the available supply will not be exhausted. ; Biodiesel is not a dangerous product and has good safety in transportation, storage and use. ; The use of biodiesel does not require modification of the diesel engine, it can be directly added for use, and there is no need to install additional refueling equipment, storage equipment, etc. In addition, making full use of vegetable oil scraps to produce biodiesel can increase the added value of major oil crops and cash crops such as peanuts, soybeans, and rapeseed. ; The collection and primary processing of biodiesel's main raw materials require a large amount of labor, and a small amount of labor is also required in the production process. This directly transfers a large amount of rural surplus labor and increases farmers' income. For the development of Qingdao’s biodiesel industry, experts suggest: Improve policies related to biodiesel production, introduce relevant preferential policies, strictly restrict waste oil from re-entering the catering industry market, formulate biodiesel production indicators, and standardize biodiesel raw materials and production markets ; Establish a research and development system, establish Qingdao Biodiesel Key Laboratory, and establish a team of international-level biodiesel scientific research and innovation talents.
