Question: Why are the actual flow rate and power consumption of the centrifugal pump we use higher than the pump’s rated power and rated flow rate? At a constant rotational speed.
That’s impossible; both the rated power and rated flow rate correspond to the maximum operating conditions. In reality, both the actual flow rate and actual power are lower than these values. If that’s not the case, then there is a problem with the pump’s design.
