Honey! The lining of your sulfur incinerator is a traditional brick lining; after it is constructed, the entire lining settles, resulting in a gap that forms between the shell and the lining. The high-temperature flue gases inside the furnace leak through these cracks in the lining into the gap between the shell and the lining, and then rise along this gap to the top of the furnace, where they escape into the atmosphere through defects in the shell. . . As mentioned on the second floor as well, furnace gases come into contact with the sulfur combustion furnace shell through cracks in the lining, resulting in condensation corrosion; moreover, this area of contact is irregular and unpredictable. . . Moreover, your shell is already deformed, which makes the bricklaying process even more complicated; the gaps between the lining and the shell become larger and more irregular. . . . . Therefore, it is recommended to use new materials and technologies: spray-type refractory castables and spray casting processes. Welding anchors are installed on the shell, followed by the application of a thermal insulation layer and a refractory layer. The spray-type refractory castables are applied directly to the shell using a spray gun, with the anchors helping to prevent sinking. In this way, there are no gaps due to settlement between the lining and the shell, which eliminates the problem of air leakage. The construction speed is extremely fast. If you plan to rebuild the lining of a sulfur incineration furnace, using this new technology allows for an integrated spraying process to create a monolithic lining. The construction period for a furnace with a capacity of 330,000 tons can be reduced to just 28 days. This type of lining provides better insulation compared to traditional linings. Companies such as Hubei Yihua, Xingfa, and those in the Middle East are already using this technology; it is employed not only for repairing sulfur incineration furnaces but also for constructing new linings or rebuilding existing ones. To date, 6 sulfur incineration furnaces in China have been equipped with this new type of sprayed lining, the largest of which has a capacity of 800,000 tons per year.
