Brothers, please help. The screw compressors used in our facility are experiencing overheating problems. After analysis, it seems that there is severe carbon buildup inside the oil coolers. This issue has already had a significant impact on production. Since we have been using screw compressors for not very long, this is the first time we’ve encountered such a problem. I hope those with experience can share their insights – what kind of cleaning agents should be used, how to carry out the cleaning process, whether immersion or using a pressure pump to circulate fluid inside the cooler is effective Additionally, some of our coolers are leaking oil; we’re not sure how to weld them. In our factory, cleaning solutions prepared from alkali solutions and laundry detergent are used for soaking and circulating. Professional cleaning agents can also be used.

A professional team should be hired to carry out acid washing and passivation on the interior of the compressor as well as its pipelines; thereafter, a filter with high density should be installed at the compressor inlet, and the process operating conditions should be adjusted.
