Forum member titles

The current titles for members of the forum (other than moderators, super moderators, and administrators) are roughly as follows: regular members, team members, Haichuan engineers, Haichuan instructors, Master-level Haichuan researchers, Doctoral-level Haichuan researchers, and honorary members. Based on the titles used for chemical engineering professionals in actual work, it is recommended that the member titles other than forum moderators, super moderators, and administrators be changed to: regular members (with the existing grade-based titles remaining unchanged), full members (members at grade two or above), Haichuan technicians (or Haichuan assistants), Haichuan engineers, Haichuan senior engineers, Haichuan chief engineers, and Haichuan professor-level chief engineers. I’ve been used to this grade level for several years; it’s really hard to accept such a change all of a sudden:handshake
Hehe, use consistency to deal with all changes! The current title reminds me of my student days; it’s quite nice!

It’s better to use the current name; why change it? I think things are pretty good now
It’s very creative… But I think these are just names, like symbols or titles; they serve merely to give something a label. No matter what the name is, its essence remains unchanged. So whether it’s changed or not doesn’t really make any difference – it’s just a matter of whether it sounds good or not. In fact, once you’re used to a certain name, it sounds the same to you; names that sound pleasant are obviously better.
I think the current title is great

The grade doesn’t need to be changed; I’m referring to the titles for members with special privileges
The proposal is good, but it doesn’t seem to make much sense; it’s still the same as before. What’s the difference between Zhang San and Li Si? It’s just a title. At Hai Chuan, as long as one can acquire knowledge and help others, there’s no need to worry too much about anything else. :lol
Whether it’s a certain grade level or an engineer – in any case, it’s a title related to technology! :)
I think there are still issues with the changes. According to the academic titles used in schools, they should be: teaching assistant, lecturer, associate professor, professor, academician. Using the terms commonly used in engineering fields, they would be: technical assistant, engineer, senior engineer, research scientist, academician. Based on educational attainment, they should be: vocational school graduate, college graduate, bachelor’s degree holder, master’s degree holder, doctorate holder, postdoctoral researcher
Pretty good! There are both terms from the student days and technical titles, all concise and to the point.
One should keep learning throughout life... so there’s no such thing as a finish line in learning.
Blue Dot, this is a good topic indeed—in real life, people are classified by their role as engineers or technicians; when meeting them, people usually refer to them as such and such engineer, but it’s rare to hear someone call them such and such teacher
