Most of the smoke, dust and waste gas generated in factory production are removed by centrifugal blowers. However, in actual production, they may not be called blowers but induced draft fans or exhaust fans. They should belong to the same category and are called blowers. However, there are differences in the selection. The model and impeller characteristics of the blower are mainly selected based on the nature of the work, gas discharge pressure, and gas volume.
I don’t agree with everyone’s point of view. The advantage of the blower is that it can overcome relatively large resistance, and there are also vacuum-type blowers. (Pneumatic conveying itself has positive pressure conveying and negative pressure suction.) In our factory, the air inlet of the blower is connected to the system for material suction. Of course, a dust collector is required at the inlet of the blower, otherwise the material will block the blower, like the original poster. As mentioned, if the resistance of the system used for smoking is very large (above 20,000pa), it is recommended to use a blower. However, the disadvantage of the blower is that the air volume is relatively small, so it depends on the conditions of the system you want to smoke. If the pipe network is relatively long and there are many smoking points but the volume is not large, it is recommended to use a blower (vacuum type). If a large air volume is required, then naturally the pipe network must be thickened to reduce the pipe network resistance.

The key lies in the difference in total air pressure and air volume, and the different temperatures used. If these parameters of the blower meet the requirements of an induced draft fan, it can be used as an induced draft fan.
