Do your flash tanks have breather valves?

A S&J company vent valve is installed at the top of our flash tank. Recently, we have observed liquid leakage at the steam condensation end of the flash tank; during maintenance, it was found that the seal of the vent valve had been damaged. I wonder if this is directly related to the damage to the vent valve. I would appreciate your advice. Thank you! ! PS. The flash vaporization inlet pressure is 12 bar, the liquid temperature is around 120°C, and the flash vaporization takes place at atmospheric pressure.
In actual operation, the inlet pressure fluctuates (10–14 bar) for 1 to 3 minutes out of every 15 minutes; at such times, the upper part of the tank is filled with bubbles. I’m not sure if this logic is correct: Pressure at the inlet side fluctuates occasionally during operation — the flash pressure inside the tank changes — the vent valve gets damaged — atmospheric pressure cannot be maintained inside the tank — resulting in excessive flash vapor along with liquid?
