This tank currently uses a plate-type level gauge, but it’s not convenient for monitoring the level. I want to replace it. The tank is 1.5 meters high, and the green sulfonic acid is an acidic solution; smoke is generated when material is added to it. I’d like to use a float-type level gauge combined with an indicator display. How should I go about this? Is that feasible? Are there any better options? My factory doesn’t have any automation at all; they don’t believe in using non-glass tube devices for the first time. Please give me some advice!!!!

Regardless of the method used for measuring liquid level, it is necessary to use corrosion-resistant products. Smoking occurs during filling, and the gases emitted are likely to be corrosive as well; local display systems are likely to have problems and get corroded; If it is not a sealed tank, then consider using a submersible level transmitter or a flange-mounted level transmitter; if corrosion protection is required, the price of such products should be around 3000-4000 ; If it is a sealed tank, use an anti-corrosion magnetostrictive level gauge; the price is around 6,000 ; Level can also be measured using pressure transmitters, but regarding corrosion resistance of the pressure sensors, it is likely that pressure transmitters with 316L stainless steel diaphragms cannot be used; instead, better ceramic sensors or capacitive types should be employed.
