Let’s talk about the coal chemical enterprises we work for and the tasks we undertake. I am from Yankuang in Shandong Province, and I am mainly involved in work related to coal-to-oil conversion. I’ve seen many people on the forum discussing the coal-to-oil projects and technologies of Shenhua, Shanxi Coal Chemical Research Institute, Lu’an, and Yitai, but Yankuang is rarely mentioned. We use an indirect liquefaction method based on proprietary technology; we have built two pilot-scale FT synthesis units for high and low temperatures in Shandong (the largest of their kind in China), both of which have been successfully operated and passed the acceptance tests. We are now at a leading level in China, and our performance is likely better than that of Shanxi Coal Chemical. We are about to establish a project in Yulin, Shaanxi, aimed at producing one million tons of oil per year.

It’s strange with Yankuang – its stocks are doing so well, so why is there so much negative criticism in Baidu’s Yankuang forum? Moreover, the Yankuang coal-to-oil project seems promising, but the researchers at Yankuang in Shanghai say – and the original poster is also from Shanghai’s R&D team, right? President Sun said that if the water problems in Yulin aren’t resolved, this project will definitely fail, and there are quite a few doubts regarding it. Compared to the Shanxi Coal Chemistry Institute, it’s hard to say whether yours is better or theirs; only once these projects are completed and put into operation will everyone know. :)
I have heard of Yankuang’s coal-to-oil project, as well as Inner Mongolia Yitai’s coal-to-oil project and Shanxi Lu’an’s project; we’ll have to wait and see:victory:

It seems that Shenhua is also set to launch a large-scale project in Yulin, Shaanxi, in collaboration with the Americans. It’s not related to coal-to-oil conversion.
