PPM is a volume ratio concentration; in terms of mass, it should be μg/g
The ppm concentration is generally used to measure mass in liquids (1 ppm means one part per million), and it can be used to indicate volume concentration in gases
PPm is a unit of order of magnitude, equivalent to one millionth.
Both ppm and ppb are units of measurement, representing one part per million and one part per billion respectively. M represents mass, and V represents volume.
ppm is dimensionless. It only indicates an order of magnitude!
