The steam pipeline leaks frequently. There is a 1.0MPa steam pipeline in our factory. It has been running normally for 3 years since it was put into use. However, it has leaked frequently recently. Please discuss the reasons for the leakage of the steam pipeline? It's not the flange and waist pad that are leaking, it's the pipe wall of the pipeline that's leaking
It may be that the pipeline is not flexible enough, that is, the pipeline expands and cracks due to long-term thermal expansion and cold contraction, which causes leakage.
The quality of the steam is not good. It contains CO2 and forms H2CO3, which will cause extremely serious corrosion inside the pipeline.
Go to the local special equipment inspection institute (boiler and pressure vessel inspection institute) for a comprehensive inspection to find out what is the reason? ? ? Take targeted measures to prevent safety accidents! Possible reasons: Internal and external corrosion, wrong materials, cracks? For thickness measurement, material spectrum analysis is required. If there is leakage from crack defects, surface flaw detection can be performed. Find out the cause and then see how to prevent it!
If the pipe is used for a long time, the pipe wall will be corroded and perforated. The reason may be that the material used during installation is not good. It is recommended that the pipe be replaced.
It should be caused by corrosion. If the compensation is not enough, it should have leaked a long time ago. Check whether the boiler feed water has low alkalinity and oxygen content. Generally, oxygen corrosion and carbon dioxide corrosion of steam pipes.
Replace the pipe with a new one and add a bellows compensator. Or assay medium composition.
Check whether the problem is caused by internal corrosion or external corrosion. The pH of the steam, the oxygen content, the impurity content and the flow rate. Is the exterior design reasonable? Sharp bends corrode the acid-base content of the exterior insulation material when exposed to water, etc.
Generally there are the following reasons: 1. Pipe material and pipe quality issues 2. Design issues and compensation 3. Steam issues: The oxygen content and pH should first be checked for operational problems. The oxygen content and pH not only consume the life of the pipeline, but also the life of the boiler, and need to be adjusted as soon as possible. For pipeline problems, if there are leak points distributed throughout the entire pipeline, it must be a material problem. If the leak points are concentrated, it is usually caused by excessive stress and needs to be redesigned.
