The chlorine gas pipes and the shell sides of the inter-stage coolers must be kept clean. The alignment of motors, gearboxes, and compressors, as well as the cleaning of the oil system, are the responsibility of the foreign technicians. Many tasks can be carried out with the assistance of local staff. Additionally, the foreign technicians are in charge of the equipment and instruments, but they have little understanding of the production process; therefore, it is necessary to involve experienced personnel who are familiar with the process to assist in starting up the system.
First, locate the technical annex to the contract signed between your company and the supplier, and check what information about the supplier as well as the service requirements are specified there. Next, find the list of materials provided by the supplier to see if it includes technical documents regarding the installation of the unit, such as instructions for its installation and use. These technical documents provide detailed instructions and requirements for the installation of the unit.
