For example, in a pilot-scale setup where several gases are mixed in certain proportions, is it possible to use pressure regulators on the gas cylinders, along with mass flow meters and fine control valves, to create a ratio control system? The pipes have a DN6 diameter – does anyone have a better automatic control system for this purpose?
It can be synthesized using this method. Control is achieved using a three-way valve; one direction serves as a separate circulation circuit for the gas. Once the flow rate is adjusted to meet the required gas mixing ratio, a PLC or some other electronic control system is used to open the three-way valve, allowing all gases to be mixed together in a single pipeline or container, thus forming a mixed gas. If necessary, the mixed gas can be passed through a mixer to enhance the mixing effect.
A mass flow controller can be used directly; all that is needed is to supply the required flow signal to it, though its price is relatively high!
