He believes that “the human eye is an essential tool for architects; an architect can still be an architect without hands, and can still rely on vision to make judgments and give orders.” ”Therefore, starting from the concept of the eyeball, Kartoba transformed abstract ideas into architectural entities and designed the Image Hall in the Science City in Valencia, Spain. This video hall is shaped like a semi-circle, but due to the reflection in the water pool, the building, which was originally semi-circular, takes on the shape of a complete eye. This unique building, whose design is inspired by the eye, not only resembles a human eye in shape but also has an outer shell that can open and close like eyelids. When the Science Museum opened in the early morning, these eyes slowly lifted their eyelids ; And as night falls, the eyelids gradually close, and the entire Science City enters a state of rest. Kartoba is very interested in dynamic structures, and he has published research papers on the topic. In fact, for him, similar structural forms could be found in nature every day—whether it was buds that opened and closed day and night, or dandelion flowers floating in the air. Carteroba believes that the God who created nature is not a gambler rolling dice; therefore, there is essentially a sense of order and logic in all things in the universe. By observing nature, one can identify patterns, which can then be embodied in architecture through artistic techniques.
