I would like to ask the experts: I have a low-pressure glass-lined container whose internal medium is highly toxic. The maximum operating pressure is 0.1 MPa, and the gas space volume is 35 m3. According to the container regulations, should it be classified as a Class 3 container or a Class 2 container? I read the tolerance specifications, and it seems a bit ambiguous in this part. Please help me make a judgment as well
It should be classified as a category III pressure vessel, since it is a low-pressure vessel (applicable only to media with extremely high or high toxicity levels, and where the pV product is greater than or equal to 0.2 MPa•m3); The PV product described is 0.35 MPa·m3, and it is highly toxic; furthermore, since glass-lined containers are generally used for reaction purposes, they should be classified as Category 3 containers.
When it comes to toxicity, a comprehensive consideration is still necessary.

Initially, the classification of glass-lined vessels in the regulatory standards did not take the medium into account, but a document was issued a few years ago (I can’t remember exactly when) requiring that the medium and the PV product be taken into consideration.
According to Article 6, clause 1.(5) of the regulations, they should be classified as Class III pressure vessels. Although clause 2.(5) states that low-pressure enamel-coated pressure vessels are classified as Class II pressure vessels, based on the principle of applying the higher classification, they should be considered Class III pressure vessels
