The European style is represented by Siemens, and it comes with a wide range of commands. If you decide to learn on your own, first consider the type of PLC you will be working with in the future, and also check whether you can access relevant materials and software. You need to download some programmable software to practice programming, and also download PLC simulation software to see the results of your programming work.
I am also learning about PLCs. Since I mainly work with Siemens PLCs, to learn them I need to install the following software: 1. For hardware of type s7-200, the software required is V4.0 STEP 7 MicroWIN SP3. 2. For hardware of types s7-300/400, the software needed is step7 V5.3 plus PLCSIM 5.3 (for PLC simulation). 3. If operating via a touch screen, ProTool 6.0 must be installed. 4. If operating from a PC, SIMATIC WinCC 6.2 is required. There are around 40 books on this topic in total, totaling over 10,000 pages – enough material to keep me busy for a whole year. Hehe
