On the temperature control of batch distillation reactors

Has anyone used a DCS system for temperature control in batch distillation? During batch distillation, as the light phase in the reactor is continuously removed, the temperature rises. Can an automatic control system be used for temperature regulation? Or, how is the tank temperature automatically controlled when intermittent distillation uses a DCS control system? I seek advice from those with experience!
The product is obtained at the top of the tower; the purity of this product is controlled by regulating the temperature and reflux at the tower’s top.
