In a cascade loop in DCS, is the signal that the main controller sends to the secondary controller a digital signal or an analog signal? When counting the number of AO signals in the statistical system, should a cascade loop be counted as 1 AO signal or 2 AO signals?
How could it be an analog signal? All calculations are carried out inside the computer, so of course it’s digital signals; there’s nothing to say about this issue……
The cascade loop uses 1 AO signal, and its output consists of only one channel. What the main regulator outputs to the secondary regulator is a digital signal; it is configured within the DCs and cannot be included in the AO statistics.
We also calculated it based on the entire route, but the poster’s question is indeed valid. . . .
The signal from the main PID to the secondary PID is the result of internal calculations within the configuration, and it is definitely a digital signal. Main PID followed by sub PID, or output an AO.
