According to regulations, stainless steel pipes do not need to be painted. The question is, however, could welding cause changes in the composition and structure of the weld areas, thereby making them more susceptible to corrosion? If the right welding materials are used and the proper welding techniques are employed, the impact of welding is minimal and remains within acceptable limits, eliminating the need for painting.
There should be no need for painting; if such welding can’t be handled, then what’s the point of welding in the first place?
