Please tell me: What is the minimum distance between the nozzle on the container and the weld? Are there any relevant standards?
In general, we just need to leave enough surfacing fillet!
Now the new version of the standard has no restrictions, while the old version had restrictions.
There are no regulations. If it is unavoidable, you can open to the weld. So there is no minimum distance. But in this case, flaw detection is required. So in order to avoid trouble, it is better to have no weld within the 1.5 opening diameter. At least there will be no trouble of flaw detection.
The distance between the opening and the weld is generally not less than 3 times the plate thickness, and not less than 100mm. When it is unavoidable, it can be opened on the weld, but it is required that a distance of 1.5 times the diameter of the opening must be fully inspected for flaw detection. The flaw detection size can be included in the flaw detection ratio of the weld.
It seems that the "Conformance Regulations" have requirements for the welding seams of nozzles of type III containers. I don't remember clearly. I suggest you check the chapter on manufacturing in the "Conformity Regulations"!
Generally, the maximum value of 50 and 3 times the wall thickness is taken.

There are no mandatory requirements in the current specifications, but designers should consider the feasibility of structure and construction and reasonably propose inspection requirements.
Generally, it is the larger value of three times the wall thickness or 50mm. If conditions permit, you can take a longer value, which is beneficial to reinforcement and safe!
