For butt joints, how is it generally manufactured when the wall thicknesses at both ends are different? For example: 100X50 SCH40xSCH80 – how can the different wall thicknesses at both ends be controlled?
Manufacturing? Personally, I think making reducers with different thicknesses is similar to making Coke bottles
I really hadn’t thought about such a question. But I can check whether the MSS manufacturing standards contain any relevant information on this topic

Generally, different pipe diameters result in different SCH grades; however, the wall thickness remains more or less the same: 100, 50, SCH40, SCH80 – 6.0mm, 5.5mm :)
In addition to ensuring the parameter performance of the components, the wall thickness here is also intended for end connections; the wall thickness in the middle of the component should be greater than that at the ends.
