Dear experts, how can I measure the pressure drop at each layer of the conversion tower? Method? Is there a suitable differential pressure gauge available for purchase? Could you provide the model and manufacturer? I am extremely grateful! Thank you!
Just install the pressure transmitter in the DCS; it costs around 20,000 for one unit.
In the past, we used glass tube U-tube manometers to measure the pressure at various points during conversion; Now, they have all been changed to pressure transmitters for centralized display in the DCS.
The pressure difference across each section of the actual converter is quite simple to determine; it can be obtained by subtracting the pressure at the inlet from the pressure at the outlet of each section. The simplest type of pressure gauge is the glass tube U-shaped pressure gauge, which contains water or mercury. This method is simple, but it makes it difficult to observe the readings accurately. Moreover, the tubes used (metal or rubber tubes) tend to break down over time, making maintenance challenging. These days, electronic pressure transmitters are mostly used; they are all installed at the conversion station and displayed on digital screens, which is very convenient. It’s also easy to purchase; they are generally available in stores that sell electronic instruments in the large cities of various provinces.
The workshop is a facility for producing sulfonic acids using SO3 and alkylbenzenes. There’s no need to use a pressure transmitter, so I’m looking for a simpler approach. Thank you all.
Then install a few on-site pressure gauges! It can be calibrated regularly using a mercury column.
