Dear teachers, I would like to ask: in catalytic cracking, what does the hydrogen-to-carbon ratio refer to? Is it better to have a higher amount of hydrogen? What can this ratio indicate? Also, why are there large fluctuations in the temperature of the oil slurry returning from the fractionation tower, and how can these fluctuations be stabilized? My oil slurry is used for heat exchange with the feedstock. Thank you!!

Fluctuations in raw materials or moisture content; 2. If medium-pressure steam is also produced, check whether the steam generator is leaking. 3. Is the steam generator operating smoothly? 4. The oil slurry should be returned to the tower through two separate paths; check whether there are any issues with the control valves in each path 5. Well said! Learn it!* A high hydrogen content is not good! The hydrogen/methane ratio in the dry gas indicates the degree of catalyst contamination! It will disrupt the product distribution and the hydrogen balance!
