I would like to ask what range the residue content in the catalytic feed oil should be within in order for the catalytic unit to operate properly.
Different devices have varying requirements for raw materials. In our plant’s heavy oil catalytic unit, the residual carbon content of the catalytic feed oil is currently kept within the range of 6.2~6.7%. The previous required range was 7.3~7.7%
The control of catalytic feedstock should be determined based on the control criteria for wax oil production in the unit’s atmospheric and vacuum distillation units. In current production technologies, most catalytic units incorporate some residue oil into their feed; it is advisable to keep the carbon residue level in the catalytic feedstock around 4
This question is too general. The control range for residual carbon is determined by various factors such as the scale of your facility, the properties of the raw materials, and the type of process used.
