Is it really that effective? Does it apply to straight-run diesel at 600 ppm, or to finished diesel? We’ve conducted experiments for a long time yet haven’t found a demulsifier with such good effects
Clariant’s antifreeze agents work well! I have been involved in research on diesel pour point depressants. For diesel with a high wax content, no pour point depressant available domestically or internationally is capable of lowering the cold flow point; however, it is easy to reduce the pour point – generally, an addition of 200 ppm is sufficient to lower it by more than 10 degrees.
Agree with what was said on floor 6. High wax content affects the cold filter plugging point of diesel; therefore, pour point depressants are more sensitive to secondary processed products such as catalyzed diesel, but less sensitive to some conventional diesel fuels. Pay attention to the proper use to avoid wasting anticoagulants.
Lowering the pour point is easy; ordinary depressants can achieve this. The key issue is the cold filter point. Some depressants can lower the pour point by more than 10 degrees, but they have no effect on the cold filter point at all. Depressants also have certain requirements regarding the distillation range of diesel.

The sensitivity of antifreeze agents is highly sensitive to the composition of diesel; they do not have a broad spectrum of activity, so multiple tests should be conducted during screening. Many other antifreeze agents that claim to be able to lower the freezing point actually fail to achieve the desired effect; after the temperature drops by a few degrees for a short period of time, the freezing point rises again. So. Today, large refineries no longer rely on antifreeze agents to adjust the quality of diesel.
