Dear classmates, how do you answer the professional case questions? Are your answers detailed? Do you work through them step by step? I completed 42 case questions, but only got 28 right. :'( :'( Especially in the afternoon, out of 22 questions I answered, I was only correct on 12

There’s no need for too much detail; just outline the main steps. First, the formula must be correct, and the calculation process can be kept simple. One should be selective when facing such exams; there’s no need to worry about the too difficult questions – just answer those you know how to solve. I got 39 questions right; there were 4 or 5 questions in the afternoon that I didn’t even attempt, such as the one about calculating the number of theoretical plates. It wasn’t a difficult question, so I decided not to waste time on it.
Upstairs, you’re absolutely right. I worked on the tray problems, but in the end I forgot to include the tray for the reboiler, which meant wasting time without getting it right. The next morning, your scores were very high (36–42); mine was at most 30:loveliness:
I’ve never done engineering work. Can one perform poorly on professional cases if they only have theoretical knowledge? Is the design work different from what is taught in school?
