The issue of utilizing steam condensate: We have a reformation capacity of 600,000 units, and we generate around 50 tons of steam condensate per day. Of this amount, 30 tons are used to feed the boilers. The problem is figuring out how to make use of this condensate – we can’t just discharge it directly into wells, as there’s no way to find a use for it. Does anyone know of any appropriate ways to utilize this condensate?
It’s really a shame to waste so much water by simply discharging it. I suggest that your company install a membrane filtration system to convert the condensed water into potable water; this would also be a way to contribute to society!
I’m not very familiar with membrane filtration devices. If the temperature of the condensate water is high, it can be used for heating bathrooms and similar purposes. In the end, should we consider combining this with other methods for reusing wastewater?
The absorption lithium bromide refrigeration technology is used to recover the heat from the condensate, and the resulting cooling capacity can be utilized for steam production. The condensate should be able to be fully reused in boilers; why does the company in question have excess condensate? It would be best if it could be reused entirely
After the steam from the owner’s reprocessing equipment condenses, 50 tons are obtained; therefore, the deoxygenated water used to generate steam should be more than 50 tons (since there is slag discharge from the boiler). It’s unclear why it isn’t fully reused
I mean, why is there so much condensation water? I don’t quite understand either! However, all the condensate water in our company is reused in the boilers. In addition, some of the water is used for cleaning purposes, as we have a pressure filtration system in our company. After all, if that water were to be discharged directly, it would be counted as wastewater!
It is used for boiler recycled water or the treatment of steam condensate from a previous system, thereby making full use of steam condensate while also saving water, electricity, and steam.
Uses of steam condensate in our plant (for internal use only): 1. Used as a heat source for reboilers in units such as the gas separation unit where the bottom temperature is not very high. 2. Used as water for electrodesalination processes in vacuum and atmospheric pressure units. 3. Used as a substitute for steam for heat tracing purposes
It is rare for the condensate water from a company to exceed the total amount of water it receives. It can replace part of the incoming water. It should work well if it contains no impurities.
Contact equipment manufacturers or design institutes that recommend equipment; they can provide methods for condensate water recovery. If doing it oneself, the methods mentioned above can be used: membrane recovery, reclaimed water recovery, or treating the water before reusing it in the boiler.
Only by connecting the condensate water from the centrifuge unit to the deaerator can there be so much water
