What to do if the temperature in the coke oven roof space is high?
What type of furnace is it? Please provide more details, OP. Such as the type of heating gas. Standard temperature: Consider reducing the standard temperature in order to decrease the supply of gas and air. Or replace the orifice plate. Check whether the coal loading amount meets the standard. This leads to a high temperature in the furnace roof space.

The previous speakers have already mentioned some reasons; I’d like to add one more: I’m not sure what type of furnace the original poster has In the case of a rammed coke oven, if the coal cakes are not properly rammed, it can lead to local collapse of the cakes; in such areas where there is insufficient coal, the temperature in that space will definitely be very high. Many coking plants have management issues; the coal cakes in the 4.3-meter-high ramming coke ovens are not compacted to the required height. During the middle and night shifts, operators may reduce the height of these coal cakes from 4.1 meters to 3.8 or 3.9 meters. At the same standard temperature, the temperature in a space of 3.8 meters is definitely higher than that in a space of 4.1 meters. In a top-loaded coke oven, it is essential to load enough coal and to level it out properly.
I agree with the view from the 5th floor; apart from the height of the compacted coal cakes, the collapse and corner loss of these coal cakes in compacted coke ovens have a significant impact on the temperature in the roof space of the oven.
