Generally, it is hot standby with a constant temperature of 800 degrees. If the operating furnace is in good condition, it can be lowered to 600 degrees for standby. The first furnace is controlled within 4 hours, and the rear system is basically in half-load operation within 4 hours.

The cold standby means that nothing is left there, and there is no need to burn fuel gas to keep it warm.

I heard that Inner Mongolia 3D has such a plan. Not to prepare a furnace, at least it is more reasonable than having a prepared furnace but cold standby.
The cold standby must at least be filled with nitrogen for protection, otherwise all moisture will enter. In reality, cold standby does not mean that the furnace is not prepared. Instead, when the process control is stable, the oven temperature will be raised within a time that meets the needs. For example, if the oven preparation cycle can be controlled to be stable at 30 days, the next oven preparation period will not start to heat up until the 20th day. Of course, the system must be relatively stable. It is more difficult to operate in practice.
Being unprepared seems very dangerous, and most customers won’t take the risk.
Cold preparation means that the stove is left there when it is cold, but it is actually being prepared. Unprepared means that the furnaces are not prepared and all furnaces are turned on, but this is not a matter of safety or insecurity, but how to calculate the process economy of the factory. In fact, I personally think that the more stoves there are, the less prepared they are, and there will be no danger. At worst, if one stove breaks down, the whole plant will be reduced. Hot standby is not necessary. Refractory bricks are not as delicate as everyone thinks. After the oven is completed, it can be cold standby for a long time, which is not so serious.
Of course, hot standby costs money, but this cost is negligible compared with the profit from continuous production! Personally, I think it is better not to prepare a furnace, but the design scale, output, etc. of the factory must be comprehensively considered. There is a manufacturer in Inner Mongolia that does not use the method of preparing a furnace. If the furnace is faulty, stop it for maintenance and just reduce the load.

The replacement of the gasifier burner after damage, the regular replacement of the gasifier furnace bricks, and other effects of a single furnace trip must be taken into consideration. Otherwise, it will be against the rules and impossible to achieve. If the process management of the gasifier is good and the furnace can be turned down on schedule frequently, in this case, it can be considered to suspend the hot standby of the oven after the gasifier maintenance is completed. However, currently, no domestic manufacturers have reached this level, so cold standby is actually difficult to achieve.
