Can gasoline be refined by solvent extraction? ?

As the title suggests, solvent extraction is widely used in the literature for refining diesel, but few methods of this kind are employed for refining gasoline. I’m not sure why, and I hope someone can explain it to me. :)
I’m not quite sure what your goal is. If you just want to obtain benzene from high-octane gasoline, that’s a common approach, and cyclobutyl ether is used for extraction in such cases
My goal is to remove unstable components such as gums from gasoline in order to improve the quality of gasoline products.
Are there any good alternatives to hydrorefining?
