The 4401 membrane in use at our unit has been operating for over two years; currently, the current is 13.3 KA and the voltage is around 3.08 V, so its performance is acceptable. The 4401 membrane is characterized by a low voltage, but its strength is slightly lower. Our unit has not yet experienced the rapid deterioration mentioned above. To ensure a long operating life of the membrane, the quality of the brine, operational control, and the number of start-up and shutdown cycles are quite important.
