Hello everyone, I’m a beginner – both on this forum and in my actual work, where I have just started learning fire adjustment. There are a few things that I don’t understand, so I hope everyone can offer their help. The type of furnace used in our coking plant is a regenerative coker with a capacity of 4 cubic meters. When using blast furnace gas, the table temperature set for the cross-row temperature is 1330 degrees. However, the temperature inside the coke oven reaches 1380–1400 degrees, and black smoke is still emitted during coke extraction. I would like to know in which areas focus should be placed for adjustments. Thank you all.
There is a certain deviation between the gauge temperature indication and the actual temperature inside the furnace; this is a fairly common phenomenon. To achieve more accurate temperature control, it is necessary to improve the accuracy of the temperature measuring instruments, and additionally, using additional instruments to measure the exit temperature can help to reflect the actual temperature of the coke more accurately; If neither of these options is feasible, some form of movement device (such as an infrared thermometer) can be used to exert flexible control and adjust the temperature inside the furnace. Through continuous comparisons, certain patterns can be identified, which can then be combined with actual flame adjustment procedures to determine the true temperature value.
Indeed, in my company, the conditions aren’t very good; many of the equipment isn’t very advanced, and such things aren’t really allowed. I’m having issues with smoke and burning; could you please give some advice on how to deal with it? Thank you.
You didn’t explain it very clearly. What is the coking time? Is your coke oven operating at increased capacity? Otherwise, a temperature of 1400 degrees is very dangerous. If black smoke is emitted, I suspect the coke cake is not fully matured; should I extend the coking time? Lower the standard temperature.
Heated with blast furnace gas, but the furnace tip temperature does not rise.
