The function of demineralized water

What is refrigerant loss? Deionized water is used only in the pre-washing tower and the exhaust gas washing tower

Is methanol used elsewhere for desalinated water as well? What is the volume involved? Does anyone have a water balance diagram? Could you share it?

It is used not only in pre-washing towers and exhaust gas scrubbers (although the processes may vary). As far as I know, demineralized water is also utilized in methanol conversion and synthesis processes, to replenish the two steam drums; this is what is meant by \"replacing lost refrigerant\", and in effect it involves heat recovery, with the demineralized water – more precisely, softened water – being converted into steam, either medium-pressure or low-pressure steam. If the low-pressure steam goes to the conversion furnace, it turns back into medium-pressure steam, absorbing some of the heat in the conversion furnace. Therefore, aside from the steam required for startup, the steam produced by the methanol plant after it comes online is sufficient to meet the needs of the reboilers and other equipment within the plant, provided that softened water is supplied.

It seems to be used in the pre-washing tower and the exhaust gas tower! It seems that the 7th floor refers to the methanol synthesis section! ! It has nothing to do with low-temperature methanol washing anymore! ! @
