The filling of filter media and packing is carried out in accordance with the following specifications: \"Specifications for the Construction and Acceptance of Pressure Filter Vessels\" SYJ4010-86. 4.0.11 The materials used as filter media in pressure filter vessels must meet the design requirements; they should possess good chemical stability, sufficient mechanical strength, and an appropriate specific gravity. The filter media should be strictly screened according to the specified gradation requirements, with impurities and dust removed. Screening should be carried out after the filter media is dried before it is placed into the pressure filter. 4.0.12 Before loading the filter media, horizontal lines indicating the loading height for filters of various specifications should be marked in advance inside the pressure filtration tank. The filter media should be laid in layers according to the specified particle size requirements. During paving, it is essential to strictly control the height of each layer and ensure uniform thickness. During paving, efforts should be made to minimize the number of workers in the tank to prevent them from stepping on the already laid filter media. During the filling of the filter media, intermediate inspections should be carried out layer by layer. After all the filter media have been installed, an inspection should be carried out; once it is confirmed to be satisfactory, the manholes and loading/unloading holes should be sealed. 4.0.13 Before commissioning for trial operation, the entire system should be flushed with water, and the flushing should be carried out at the maximum flow rate possible or at a flow velocity of not less than 1.5 m/s. It is considered qualified when the water color at the inlet and outlet appears the same to the eye; after flushing, all water remaining in the system should be drained.
